SENIOR MINISTRY
Graham
and Tui Cruickshank were the first pastors of Christian Renewal Fellowship
and key players in the foundation of Christian Renewal Fellowship. Graham
has served from the outset as the vision caster, and God has used this gift
in his life to raise the vision up and further build upon it.
Graham and Tui were both trained in a Pentecostal Bible College in Auckland
and both have served as ministries in pioneer Pentecostal evangelism and
church planting in Fiji and Tonga. This was all on a faith basis with no
guaranteed wages. They have undertaken two nationwide itineraries in New
Zealand while on missions furloughs.
In 1974 they moved to Whangarei on a word from the Holy Spirit, to raise
up a Bible College that was open to the whole Body of Christ, fundamental,
evangelical and Holy Spirit honouring. This was begun on a total faith basis.
In 1977 Christian Renewal Fellowship was launched. Over the next few years
Graham & Tui maintained links with the Pacific Islands, taking outreach
teams and hurricane aid to those nations.
From the early 1990's Graham's role in ministry changed to an apostolic
one. He continued to train leaders both in Christian Renewal Fellowship
and Christian Renewal Bible College. The network of ministries and churches
in New Zealand known as the Associating Churches and Ministries of New Zeland
was entrusted to him by the Holy Spirit, even though initially he did not
want to run with that vision. Today it grows and prospers. Other networks
have grown connected to his ministry at Christian Renewal Fellowship. Graham
serves in an apostolic role to Renewal Networks of Churches in Fiji, Tonga,
New Zealand, USA, India, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
Graham and Tui now travel out to the nations each year, strengthening leaders
and churches.
At home base in Whangarei, New Zealand, Graham and Tui continue to grow
the church they played a key role in planting. Besides a large pastoral
team, there are also many other leaders and teams who assist.
In 2000 AD two major long haul faith projects were launched - the 1000 seater
Stage 2 auditorium and the new campus land and buildings for the school.
These both require visionary leadership, business like decisions at Church
Council level which Graham chairs, while at the same time pastoring the
church and leading the Bible College.
